Frequently asked questions

Bip is a credit card. But on your phone. It’s all about the app. There aren’t any fees either. Just one interest rate. Credit that’s as simple as it sounds.

If you’ve recently opened several credit accounts or applied for a number of credit products in a short space of time, this could reduce your credit rating. This is because lenders wish to lend responsibly and avoid customers taking on more credit than they can afford.

Apple Pay and Google Pay don’t have limits on how much you can spend in one go. A few shops have contactless limits of £100. You can only spend within your overall credit limit.

There are a number of ways to pay to suit your style. Take a look at the payments screen in your Bip app. Some ways to pay are by Direct Debit, internet banking, card payment.

You can pay anytime to help save money on interest. Just be sure to pay at least your contractual minimum payment every month before it's due. And make extra payments when you’re able to. Any payment made before your statement is issued won't count towards the contractual minimum payment.

If you miss a payment, your Bip will be frozen and the missed payment will be reported to credit reference agencies.
